"Do not stop on track". What happened to the "S"?

Like that on both sides of this crossing.

This gate guard is missing something...

Not sure why they thought the mast signal needed the extra set of lights...

Cantilever pulling double duty here. Interesting how they wired up the traffic lights:

Missing crossbuck:

No mast lights and no bell on this 4 lane road:

I still find it odd how both signals have two Safetran Type-2 e-bells on them. Are they just that quiet that they need two of them? :Tongue2:

I also have to wonder if they all work...
They/Them for me, please.

Rather odd-looking cantilevers... no mast lights and two sets of lights rather close to each other. It's kind of odd to see no mast lights with gates...
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.5677303 ... 6?hl=en-US

A crossing with a large curve on both sides. Believe it or not... there is a cantilever behind those tree branches!
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.5686483 ... 6?hl=en-US
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.5687546 ... 6?hl=en-US
The "side" lights on the mast signal are 12 inch Lex-C's!
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.5687546 ... 6?hl=en-US

A quad crossing on an NS line... you don't see these too often:
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.5845945 ... 6?hl=en-US

Both cantilevers on the opposite side of the road?
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.5951023 ... 6?hl=en-US

Active crossing:
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.5361119 ... 6?hl=en-US
The power for the train:
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.5379321 ... 6?hl=en-US

Crossing on a steep hill. They had to cut out a section and concrete it in to make room for the signal:

Active crossing in Walkerton, Indiana.
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.4690403 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.4686268 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.4686511 ... 6656?hl=en
-------------------------
Why are there two small advance warning signs here?!
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.7703897 ... 6656?hl=en

I think one normal sized advance warning sign would do the job here! I wonder if two small advance warning signs are equivalent to one normal sized one! :LOL4:
-------------------------
It looks like these signs have been vandalized several times!
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.5314123 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.5316332 ... 6656?hl=en

Also one of the crossbucks at this crossing has a double sided piece and a single sided piece which looks a bit weird.
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.5314562 ... 6656?hl=en
-------------------------
Here is a railroad crossing located next to a junction! This would be a cool place to railfan but there really isn't anywhere to park!
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.5545637 ... 1664?hl=en
-------------------------
GRS 12'' LEX-C lights! https://www.google.com/maps/@41.5917782 ... 1664?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.5917656 ... 1664?hl=en
Unfortunately they're gone!
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.591719, ... 6656?hl=en
-------------------------
Bell only crossing! :TUP2:
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.6206845 ... 6656?hl=en
-------------------------
What the heck?!
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.6140107 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.614138, ... 6656?hl=en

Some idiot also vandalized the signs! :Curse1:
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.614138, ... 6656?hl=en
-------------------------
Active crossing in Wabash, Indiana with classing 8'' signals! It appears that they are active due to track work going on.
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.8052218 ... 1664?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.8048815 ... 1664?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.8047102 ... 1664?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.8045516 ... 1664?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.8044242 ... 1664?hl=en
Sadly the signals have been replaced.
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.805232, ... 6656?hl=en
Here is the crossing active again.
https://www.google.com/maps/@40.8044616 ... 6656?hl=en
-------------------------
These crossbucks are in bad shape!

I think that is just sun glare. The lights on the other signal are dark:

I noticed that as well but it appears that the light is emitting it's own light.

I also just noticed that this crossing has "1 track" signs!

I understand... it is a bit of an optical illusion though. The sunlight is reflecting off the mirror. Here is a good example of that I saw earlier:
