I would be interested to see how this quad +1 crossing operates...

Hmm yeah, I'd be curious too! I don't think that it'd activate as a normal quad setup, either.cabman701 wrote:I would be interested to see how this quad +1 crossing operates...

Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
Some nice classic cantilevers in Lincoln, California. They both still have the original Griswold light heads as well!

Another set of classic cantilevers:

It gets better. Classic cantilevers and pedestal gates!
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.8865221 ... 56!6m1!1e1
This crossing had a triangle gate up until 2012. It was replaced the next time Google came through in 2015.

I'm surprised those older signals have hung on so long, but California is pretty good for that.
Just a little to the north... a private signalized crossing with modern equipment:

Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
Those are more modern than you think they are. Those Harmon cantilevers probably date back to the 80s at the earliest.ToledoRailfan wrote:Classic 8'' cantilevers.

I don't think so, at least because it wasn't there in 2008...ToledoRailfan wrote:Very old power indicator on the relay cabinet, kind of like the ones in Waterville.
