Last week I went out to the last known C&NW-style bell only crossing left on the UP Adams Sub, located at 17th Road west of Dalton, WI. Former site contributor Brent G. (Brenton81) got a couple videos here before, which is how I came to find out about it.

I also took a photo set of the crossing. Anyone who edits for the site PM me if you want me to send them to you. I also still have some old sets that never got posted that I took before Mike H. passed.

Last Thursday I went back and got a couple more videos at 17th Road (starting at 2:12). The first train snuck up on me a bit so I missed the activation of the bell.

Here's a rather modern one in Brazil:

Replaced another bell-only set-up with a Teardrop:

You can also see the moved the signal away from the tracks. I wonder if they have just had that bell laying in storage, or just took it from another crossing

No, the Teardrop was the old set-up. It was replaced with the set-up in the first link.
