It appears to have been done by them very, very early on. Not many installs exist anymore with the original 8 inch lights, and probably only a few of those even retain all of their original equipment.
They/Them for me, please.

None of those are "classic vintage signals", IMO. In fact, they all appear to be less than 10 to 20 years old.

I hate it when that happens! :aaargh:
----------------------------
Here are some very old gates that protect this line in Belgrade!

https://www.google.com/maps/@44.7971654 ... 6656?hl=en

https://www.google.com/maps/@44.7970574 ... 6656?hl=en

Although I have a feeling that this isn't uncommon in Serbia and the Balkans as a whole.
----------------------
These North Carolina crossings have Western Cullen-Hayes clear L.E.Ds and Western Cullen-Hayes E-bells!

https://www.google.com/maps/@35.4340821 ... 6656?hl=en

Only one of the bells here is a Western-Cullen Hayes E-Bell.

https://www.google.com/maps/@35.432906, ... 6656?hl=en
----------------------
Here is something that you don't see everyday, the road markings for the crossing and the advance warning sign are on the opposite side of a bridge. I'm not referring to small bridges that go over a small stream.
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.4344537 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.4347551 ... !1e3?hl=en
----------------------
Excluding a pair of side lights, there are no mast lights here!
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.4031449 ... 1664?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@35.4034132 ... 1664?hl=en
----------------------
FRA Violation!

I don't see why there are two gated signals for a one-way st. crossing.

Wait, why are the "DO NOT ENTER" signs on the other side of the crossing!?  :Curse1:
----------------------
Odd setup.

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.8930066 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.8934422 ... 6656?hl=en

I wonder if this crossing is in a double crossing setup with the other crossing(s).

Here are the crossings when they were just crossbuck only, back then it was easier to tell that there were three crossings here unlike the current setup.

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.892026, ... 1664?hl=en
----------------------
Kind of odd.

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.8934549 ... 6656?hl=en

Classic signals.

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.8922683 ... 6656?hl=en
A lot of graffiti here.
The other signal use to be pretty far from the crossing because there use to be more tracks here, although you can tell that the other tracks have been gone for a very long time! I'm surprised that the signal was still in that position for so long! Pretty cool that they just moved the signal closer to the crossing instead of installing a new signal closer to the crossing!

Because that's a one-way stretch of road right there.

I know it is. I was confused as to why they didn't put the "DO NOT ENTER" signs in front of the crossing instead of behind the crossing because people have to turn around and cross over the crossing again once they see the "DO NOT ENTER" signs, it would make much more sense to have them on the other side of the crossing so you wouldn't need to crossing over it to find out that the road is a one-way road.
