Likely fully signalized at one point: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.2897749 ... 312!8i6656
Even still a relay case there:

Also, that's probably the first crossing in Michigan I've seen with only one bell.

I'd love to know when or why the crossing was downgraded, and if the bell still works as well.

I was able to photograph the bell-only crossing at McCloud OK. I can send the pics to someone if they are willing to make a page for it

Here is a video of the crossing in action from April 2001.

Sadly, the most recent Streetview image shows that the teardrop bell has now been retired.

Your current signature sums up my thoughts on this.

I've gotten videos of three of some of these neat setups in action.
https://youtu.be/W4-7Hs2VVf8

https://youtu.be/Wb9P4JeCfWU
https://youtu.be/yTtzi_G7aCA
Don't mind 10 year old me and vertical recording in this one... :glare: https://youtu.be/CKEs4o8TTEo

Tours of others:

Probably a couple others I've seen that I'm forgetting, but I know all of the in-action ones are the only ones I've caught trains at, for sure. I've gotten photos but no videos of at least one other with no street view, in Hillsdale, IN as well, with a GS electronic bell at it.

Hell, I even made my own: https://youtu.be/QESiW0Z2o9A
And here's one in someone's house I randomly found with a mini bell on it: https://youtu.be/ZVrKHcRJOao

Others I've found on Google Maps that I haven't been able to visit yet:

https://www.google.com/maps/@41.6936532 ... authuser=1

I'm also aware that Tommy has recorded several bell-only pedestrian crossings in Illinois, especially on CN and BNSF lines. One such even has a GS type-3. In case you couldn't tell, I'm really in to these crossings, lol. Sorry for not embedding the YT links, I had to use mobile links. :P
