Very! I understand why they had to do it that way... really no other option. But, they could have made the cantilever a little longer and angled it so it was more in the middle of the crossing instead of off to the side.

They did a better job on this one:

Almost reminds me of these crossings in Monroe.

That is pretty odd! I wonder if that is an FRA violation?

Probably... but considering it is a gravel road, and probably not used by the public very frequently, I doubt it is anything they would pursue.

Those last two are actually on the site:

Not sure why the one Seth posted isn't...
I'll probably talk to Crossingman18 and see if he's willing to get some pictures of it for the site.
They/Them for me, please.

Google caught the Furlong Road crossing in St Albans, VIC active twice, shortly before it was removed as part of the Andrews Government's 'Level Crossing Removal Program'.

This is kind of interesting, it is also near the Joplin Wigwag and on the same line.

I wonder why they installed the new signal on the other side of the road? I guess sense it is a one-way road it doesn't really matter.

Do they all ring in sync? You would think it would be a lot louder (and more annoying). Either that or they are not all operating.

Looks like the area to the right used to be a fenced off parking area... and is now a driveway going right by where the old cantilever was. Maybe they were concerned it could have gotten hit?
