It also has the incorrect number of tracks!

Nevertheless, it will be a pain when i send these photos off, the FRA says that this crossing sees 10 trains a day! That isn't right!
When was the report from? Also, there is technically still a third track in the pavement there, but it hasn't seen use in a while. :Tongue1:
I was gonna try and put a file link in, but i didn't think it would work.

Here is the DOT number.

From the top-left corner of the first page of the report:
A. Revision Date
(MM/DD/YYYY)
08___/_30__/_2012____

So I wouldn't be surprised if it's now much busier, assuming the new commuter trains are actively running along the line now.

Came across this signal from Arkville, NY. The images are from 2009 and a bit fuzzy, but it looks like it might have Griswold lights? Both sets of lights are on extension arms as well... I'm assuming for back when the signal had a A Frame gate.

The other signal is more normal. There is a also a ped gate with a set of lights on it as well.

Nice pair of Safetran 8'inch lights, along with a weird bell extension.

I actually really want to go see this crossing!

That's actually an old SAL US&S signal. The mast was split like that to avoid having the lights hit by the wooden gate arm back the in the day. Here's how it would've originally looks, only with two pairs of US&S 8 inch lights instead of one:
http://rxrsignals.com/Alabama/Odenville/Alabama/

In fact, according to street view, it was like that originally, only with the Teardrop bell already having been replaced with that RACO(?) bell by the time they went through:

The other signal was a slightly different style of SAL signal, probably from after the Teardrop was discontinued but before WRRS got bought by Federal Signal:

Could be some apartments right nearby, or a hospital. Either way, it appears the building with the bridge to the parking garage is most likely the one responsible for the quiet zone.

I don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't want train horns to be blaring by a hospital...
