My tablet isn't opening the links for the GSV app. Might be OOS now, since my side i looked at seemed overgrown but it feels like there is a siding from my 4th story hotel room which doesn't look overgrown. I'm at the hotel at the 30th street crossing (Hyatt Place)
If i can get pictures, i'll let you know.
Welcome to Tampa! Don't mind the rain here.
How long are you in town for? Sadly I'm busy this week so I don't know if we could meet up.
To answer your question, the line you can see from your hotel is a spur off the CSX Brooksville Subdivision. It's been a while since I've heard of any activity on the line (last time I saw any was 2013), but it serves the nearby Yuengling Brewery off of 30th Street (the same road that your hotel is on).

I'll benheading down to Clearwater tomorrow, not a great place to be for train traffic, but the photos of crossings were taken a decade ago, so updates are worthnup.
However, my sister damaged my camera screen today partially, still works fine, i also got photos and video of one of the Busch Gardens railroad crossings today.
For the meetup is not certain, i'm in Clearwater tomorrow, then on Thursday i am back at Busch Gardens. I'll be in Tampa until Monday, then I'll be back home.
So would you classify the line as mothballed?

Mothballed is a good way to describe Clearwater! Just be careful if you are going out there, because there are Scientologists.

Unfortunately the WABCO bell at Pierce Street is gone, and all of the 8" lights have been upgraded to LEDs. The Safetran bridge cantilevers on Court and Chestnut Streets remain.
I work tomorrow and Thursday I have stuff to do at USF (near your hotel), Friday and Saturday I am busy but maybe Sunday afternoon we could do something. 8) Just PM me further and I'll see if I could stop by for a few at your hotel in the lobby to say hello!

I was aware of that.
Sadly i was unable to get pictures, i went far out to the beach.
I also discovered a crossing not far from my hotel with large cantilevers, although i do not know street name and its right next to a helluva restaurants. Even if it is in use.

Hope you enjoyed Clearwater Beach! I was there on Sunday, actually.
The road with the bridge cantilevers is Fowler Avenue, if that's what you're talking about. It's in use, but not much.

3 trains per week, now i'm heading up to St Petersburg tomorrow, a lil bit ofrI esearch shows a crossing on the Pinellas sub shows that CSX will send a switcher down every day according to a crossimg report. Theres also the mothballed Clearwater subdivision, theres plans for commuter rail to be restored there since Amtrak discontinued service in 1983.

I grew up about three blocks from this crossing, so some of my earliest memories of watching trains involve these signals:

Coincidentally, my girlfriend lives in the apartment complex across the street from it so I still come by here quite a bit. Unfortunately the Griswold EM signals were replaced in 2012.
