It has to be receiving maintenance somehow, because those are LED lights.NathanFromEngland wrote: Sat Aug 24, 2019 11:13 am Regent Road, Bootle, England.
AFAIK, i believe this crossing has been closed for at least a decade via looking at Google Earth views. Since closure the crossing has fell into decay but still works.
Here is a picture of the crossing from what i assume is the 1980's.

Well, as of 2019 Street view, these signals are still here. However, the pedestrian US&S Model 95 Gate Mechanism no longer has it's counterweight arms.freebrickproductions wrote: Fri Jun 23, 2017 10:49 amThis article was shared on the Railway Crossings Facebook group, and is about the crossing signals being deactivated. One of the pictures at the top of the article shows the signals now:ZachL wrote:Is there a source?? There's also this one in Tavares, FL: https://www.google.com/maps/@28.8030794 ... 56!6m1!1e1
Technically, the crossing is somewhat used as it leads to an orange grove. However, these tracks are not busy enough to warrant lights and gates IMO.
And sort of going in the opposite direction, you can't forget about this beauty of a crossing that was built before the road, then the road never finished:
