also notice how they put exempt on the stop sign and are in the operating position but aren't on that's because they put the exempt signs on the stop signs and they modified them so that they would stay in the operating position and not turn 90 degrees like they normaly would

this is so totally ex Milwaukee road right here a they loved to use these!

You can see only half of it is there, the relay case is there too.

You sure that was an Erie line? They never ran west of Chicago (both the Erie and the EL), as far as I can tell.

It is, skip to 4:33 in this video, this shows the crossing in action before it was put OOS.
If you are wondering, the far signal is the one that still remains.
And you can see the full crossing on GSV in 2008.

That's the Erie Mining Company, operating on the Cliffs Erie Railroad, which was a completely different railroad from the Erie or EL.
