Wheel operated crossing with lights!
AOCL on a narrow road, these are very rare to find, as most are being replaced by AOCL+B's.
This is cool! Active AOCR in Yorkshire on a steam railway! Only two of these types of crossing remain! They became popular in the early 1980's but demised after the 1986 Lockington rail accident.

Your links don't work because they shouldn't contain the word "link".NathanFromEngland wrote:Strange crossing

It looks like a private crossing.NathanFromEngland wrote:Strange crossing
That is a pretty cool crossing but what is different about it?NathanFromEngland wrote: Active crossing, Notice anything different?

Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
Here is an interesting crossing. The crossing is activated manually a worker. This crossing is on the Seaton Tramway.

Foot crossing with former old gates
Foot crossing with a pushbutton to cross! The signals were installed in the mid 90's until they were pedestrianized between 2004-2005. These types of crossings are called "Manually Controlled Barrier crossing On Call" or otherwise known as a MCB-OC

Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
Is that a new type of crossing? Someone from Lincolnshire filmed a crossing that had been upgraded to an MCB-OC, before it was upgraded I think a worker would open the barriers for cars. What is interesting about MCB-OCs is that the signals activate just to warn motorists of the barriers closing and not for an oncoming train.NathanFromEngland wrote:These types of crossings are called "Manually Controlled Barrier crossing On Call" or otherwise known as a MCB-OC

Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
I found a crossing with a buckeye crossbuck setup in Heath, Ohio that was still in service in October of 2016. I wonder if they're still there? Interesting how the one crossbuck is not a buckeye crossbuck, I wonder if the other one is a buckeye crossbuck? This crossing also has 1 track signs!

Interestingly enough this is new! Probably not the signage itself though.

It isn't the first time that I've heard of a crossing recently getting a buckeye crossbuck setup. This crossing on an alley here in Toledo had buckeye crossbuck setups added to it sometime between 2008 and 2011.

If I remember correctly, I think that one crossing that I found in Indiana with buckeye crossbuck setups was also a recent install as street view had been to the crossing before the buckeye crossbuck signage was added.
