Are you sure those are out of service? I've seen lines with worse greenery than this line that are still in service

The flangeways in the crossings are filled with dirt. Plus, the track doesn't lead anywhere.

I would assume it hasn't always been like that... but I don't quite see how this track was ever used.

I only know that CSX owns both segments and that it goes to South Brunswick at a place not far from Monmouth Junction after NJT/Amtrak's Princeton Station. On the GPS I have in my car, you can see where the tracks were before removal.
