Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
Yea, I've seen a few General Signals lightheads, as the TSRR uses them on a few of their crossings. It appears that a few shortlines and Amtrak use these lightheads on their crossings now.IanMP wrote: BTW Did you saw any in person of those GS lightheads? And where can i find more?
They/Them for me, please.

At the station.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.21579 ... 312!8i6656
We approach the first crossing.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.21610 ... 312!8i6656
We approach a pedestrian railway crossing. The bells look oddly designed.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.21634 ... 312!8i6656
If you look close enough at the words on the back of the lights, you can work out it is a WABCO Industries 12x24 inch light!
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.21636 ... 312!8i6656
Another pedestrian crossing with the same e-bells and WABCO 12X24 inches.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.21662 ... 312!8i6656
The train passes through another crossing, but its not another pedestrian crossing.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.21725 ... 312!8i6656
This is some strange sign. It shows a car.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.21725 ... 312!8i6656
We approach the next crossing, believe it or not, it cuts through a 4 way roundabout!
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.21769 ... 312!8i6656
This crossing has a WABCO teardrop!
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.21793 ... 312!8i6656
Another WABCO teardrop there, you can see it just behind the crossbuck.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.21804 ... 312!8i6656
Unfortunately, this signal was not so lucky.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.21867 ... 312!8i6656
This crossing has WABCO 12x20 inch lights!
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.22285 ... 312!8i6656
Passive crossing on a path.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.22617 ... 312!8i6656
You actually get a good view of the mountain from the verge.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.22668 ... 312!8i6656
Another passive crossing on a road, but theres enough space for a open or gated crossing.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.23041 ... 312!8i6656
Another passive crossing on a path, but its probably installed in the weirdest place possible.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.23106 ... 312!8i6656
Another weird place for a passive crossing.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.23244 ... 312!8i6656
We're now in Switzerland!
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.23319 ... 312!8i6656
Tired of construction, traffic jams? Take the train!
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.23461 ... 312!8i6656
It looks as if this crossing appears to be receiving an upgrade soon.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.24560 ... 312!8i6656
Quite a lot of lights!
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.25919 ... 312!8i6656
Another crossing is on the upgrade schedule.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.26137 ... 312!8i6656
I find it strange that this crossing has just a crossbuck and its mounted to overhead lines for trains with pantographs.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.27239 ... 312!8i6656
Quite an stunning view of a river.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.27938 ... 312!8i6656
There is some construction going on above the train!
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.28178 ... 312!8i6656
This is a interesting stream that runs along with the tracks below.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.30360 ... 312!8i6656
These crossbucks are place incorrectly.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.30475 ... 312!8i6656
Some Scheidt And Bachmann LED lights being used as preemption!
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.31059 ... 312!8i6656
This crossing looks new...
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.31110 ... 312!8i6656
The other lights are placed a bit too far from the crossing.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.31160 ... 312!8i6656
The traffic was a bit held up here.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.31244 ... 312!8i6656
This crossing reminds me of the crossing i mentioned earlier in Italy.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.31448 ... 312!8i6656
3 barrier crossing, strange.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.31927 ... 312!8i6656
A crossing with small triangle lights.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@46.32339 ... 312!8i6656
It eventually just goes on and on and on and on. So i'll let you continue.
