Sadly that crossing and the siding it's located on are currently out of service, also the teardrop bell has since been replaced by a WCH m-bell. I'm pretty sure that Silverton (the operator of the train) no longer exist either.freebrickproductions wrote:Active crossing in Bomen, NSW:

Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
I would of posted this in the Out of Service topic, but since this crossing has been revived, I posted it here
This crossing went out of service sometime around 2007 and the tracks were out of service until around 2015/2016 when these crossings were brought back to life.

Nice find! Its very rare to see lines get abandoned for some time and then get revived, those crossings to me look to be 1970's to 1980's installs? Who were the original line owners?TheSignalMan2000 wrote:I would of posted this in the Out of Service topic, but since this crossing has been revived, I posted it here

While looking and this crossing, the mechanical bell was at risk of falling from the cantiliever, it had come loose!

I remember a while ago David posted a crossing in the remote Upper Peninsula of Michigan and the line had been abandoned for a while but it had been revived.

Metro, why do you keep removing Mechanical bells?!
