I really wish that the public here were more educated on HAWK signals. I've been stuck in rush hour traffic and it does not help when you still have motorists that treat alternating red on a HAWK signal as a red light instead of a stop sign, like how you're supposed to.

They would probably be better off installing normal GYR signals.

Some signalized pedestrian crosswalks do have GYR signals here! However, this is the more common route to signalizing pedestrian crossings here:

There are a couple of crosswalks with GYR signals here in Toledo too. That doesn't sound like a bad idea! Detroit has some that have sensors.

Those do not have the strobing yellow LEDs, though.

How or why on earth is that on a public road and going into traffic?

I was wondering the same thing.
------------------------------------
Odd how they have two unusually large stop signs instead of one normal sized bi-lingual one.
Okay......
Another unusually large stop sign.
At least these stop signs are more normal sized.
This stop sign is very faded.
------------------------------------
This movable bridge has Western-Cullen Hayes E-Bells with railroad crossing gates! I wonder why you only see railroad crossing equipment like this being used on movable bridges in Canada but not in the United States?
------------------------------------
On one side of the bridge, the traffic signals are normal GYR signals. While on the other side, the signals are YR signals. I assume they operate like German, Austrian, and Liechtenstein railroad crossing signals.
------------------------------------
This is pretty cool!
------------------------------------
Another bridge with GYR signals on one side and YR signals on the other.

------------------------------------
I wonder why this extra signal is here? It hasn't been here for that long.
------------------------------------
Very old classic wishbone gates!

Sadly, they're gone now. :Awww:

https://www.google.com/maps/@44.2929163 ... 6656?hl=en

Although the traffic signals still don't work! Kind of reminds me of that bridge in Manistee!

------------------------------------
Huh, I wonder why this huge Franco-Ontarian flag is here?
------------------------------------
Both of these bridges have railroad crossing lights! I don't know if I've heard of this done somewhere else in Canada, I think I might have.

This bridge also has interesting gates!

I guess this song is relevant to the imagery...
