Satellite view shows that those signals have been removed.

Further down the line:

My bad this is what I was trying to get at!

Very interesting line, someone go out there and get photos.

Looks like they layed down gravel and are maintaining the line well, possible return to service when needed?

This is in Canton, IL where my grandparents used to live when I was growing up. This track has been out of service since probably the early 90's if I had to guess... yet quite a few signals remain... some of them still with their wooden A frame gates! Up until recently no images were available, but GSV finally went through there last September. The years have not done these signals too well... things are in pretty rough shape.

Elm St: https://www.google.com/maps/preview?hl= ... !2e0&fid=5

Chestnut St: https://www.google.com/maps/preview?hl= ... !2e0&fid=5

Locust St... this crossing has been completely removed, signals and all, since the last time I was there: https://www.google.com/maps/preview?hl= ... !2e0&fid=5. I'll have to try and dig up a before picture. There used to be 4 masts with lights only, no gates... even though this is a much busier street than the others with gates.

Ash St: https://www.google.com/maps/preview?hl= ... !2e0&fid=5. The A frame gate on the other side of the street is falling apart.
