Maybe they'll reenter the traffic signal business.freebrickproductions wrote:Tape, reflective sheeting for signs, cats-eye reflectors, thermoplastic pavement markings, connectors, window insulation kits, picture hangers, etc...ToledoRailfan wrote:What else does 3M make?ZachL wrote:Well, if 3M can make traffic signals, then I guess Singer can as well.freebrickproductions wrote:I personally think the poly signals look more like Singer (yes, that Singer) signals, as they are both deeper than McCain signals.

Re: Google Street View
If they do, it likely won't be with their PV signals. PV signals are a mighty expensive solution for a rather niece market, as most places just use louvers or extra long visors to limit visibility (or even in some cases, rotate the visors 90 degrees).ToledoRailfan wrote:Maybe they'll reenter the traffic signal business.freebrickproductions wrote:Tape, reflective sheeting for signs, cats-eye reflectors, thermoplastic pavement markings, connectors, window insulation kits, picture hangers, etc...ToledoRailfan wrote:What else does 3M make?ZachL wrote:Well, if 3M can make traffic signals, then I guess Singer can as well.freebrickproductions wrote:I personally think the poly signals look more like Singer (yes, that Singer) signals, as they are both deeper than McCain signals.

Well, at least it's only foot traffic and not automobile traffic, so that grade would probably last for a lot longer time.ToledoRailfan wrote:Well this is kind of an interesting sight!

Re: Google Street View
I was referring to kind of the who area, like how the tracks run so close to the road and that little pedestrian crossing is for an entrance to that building. I just thought it was kind of a unique area.ZachL wrote:Well, at least it's only foot traffic and not automobile traffic, so that grade would probably last for a lot longer time.ToledoRailfan wrote:Well this is kind of an interesting sight!
Re: Google Street View
Well 20 years ago, that area would have probably looked more "normal" for being near railroad tracks, as those are newer buildings.ToledoRailfan wrote:I was referring to kind of the who area, like how the tracks run so close to the road and that little pedestrian crossing is for an entrance to that building. Those tracks may not actually be in service anymore, if you go down farther...ToledoRailfan wrote:That is kind of why I find it weird!ZachL wrote:as those are newer buildings.ToledoRailfan wrote:I was referring to kind of the who area, like how the tracks run so close to the road and that little pedestrian crossing is for an entrance to that building.
