Some finds along the Georgia Central:
Some really old SAL signals still in use:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.0905554 ... 312!8i6656

This classic SAL install in Pembroke, GA was replaced, sadly:
Before:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.1357047 ... 328!8i1664
After:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.1356754 ... 312!8i6656

Video of the old signals in action:

Some of those weird WABCO(?) lights:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.1355586 ... 312!8i6656

Some interesting cantilevers in Lyons, GA:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.2039816 ... 312!8i6656
Sadly, this is what they replaced:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.2039975 ... 328!8i1664

The old signals can be heard in action in this video at about the 40 second mark, sounds like only one Teardrop worked:

The working bell can be heard better in this video:

Along with this one, at about the 30 second mark:

And one more video:

Looks like the signals were replaced in 2011:

Talk about an upgrade here!
Before:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.2071606 ... 328!8i1664
After:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.2071683 ... 312!8i6656

1980s CSX install!
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.213398, ... 312!8i6656

Another one!
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.2217151 ... 312!8i6656

A pair of classic, gateless SAL cantilevers:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.2163044 ... 312!8i6656

An old SCL WABCO install with a pair of WABCO mechanical bells!
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.3790402 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.3790905 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.3791507 ... 312!8i6656

More old SAL cantilevers:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.5222713 ... 312!8i6656

Another 1980s CSX install!
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.5366248 ... 312!8i6656

Even more old SAL cantilevers:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.5365722 ... 312!8i6656

Another WABCO bell here!
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.6052865 ... 312!8i6656

Oddly enough, a GRS Lex-C light managed to find its way onto this old SAL install in Jeffersonville, GA:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.6898042 ... 312!8i6656

Another Teardrop was replaced! At least they didn't replace the signal entirely this time...
Before:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.7580271 ... 328!8i1664
After:
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.758125, ... 312!8i6656

Replaced by 2009 according to this video (1:50 mark):

A Safetran Hybrid bell!
https://www.google.com/maps/@32.7992123 ... 312!8i6656

And that's all of the interesting stuff I could find along the Georgia Central.

Strangely enough, that Safetran Hybrid replaced a General Signals Type 2 E-Bell.

I don't know if this is a FRA violation, but considering its right in front of a intersection, its seems like a no biggie.
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.5137304 ... 312!8i6656
1980's NS installation.
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.6484394 ... 312!8i6656
Abandoned station/freight depot
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.6496719 ... 312!8i6656
I find it weird that this early-mid 2000's NS installation uses US&S model 95 gate mechanisms instead of Safetran gate mechanisms.
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.6520171 ... 312!8i6656
Along with that, this is an FRA violation, this crossing must've just had stop signs and they never pulled it from the ground
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.6516208 ... 312!8i6656
3 crossbucks?
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.6766976 ... 312!8i6656
This crossbuck is a little off.
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.6854561 ... 312!8i6656
Also, unrelated. Its a bit weird seeing a sign for a church.
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.6856456 ... 312!8i6656
Classic 1970's Southern Railway installation?
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.6855129 ... 312!8i6656
There were 2 in 2008, but one of them was struck (Presumably by a drunk)

That actually appears to be a Southern Railway install, but that gateless crossing in the link above it is definitely a 1980s NS install!

For some reason, the NS Division that operates in the Carolinas uses/used US&S Model 95s on their newer signals. I have never seen them anywhere else on the NS.

Those church warning signs were put-up so people would know to expect higher amounts of pedestrians in that area on Sundays. They were removed from the MUTCD years ago, but some places still put them up.

The stop sign is for the intersection, not the crossing.
Crossing pictures from Plant City, FL are finally here! viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2538

Vintage yet unusal looking signals in Ashtabula, Ohio along with some nice vintage traffic signals with the large red light and the smaller yellow and green lights. This is in a part of Ohio that has a lot of vintage crossing and traffic signals. There are several other areas like that in this great state of our's.

That's what i'm saying, IMO. There should be a sign that compares the distance from the tracks to the highway intersection.

Yard Limited is my guess.
Always thought it was weird when they do that.

There is also another one on the northern signal!
https://www.google.com/maps/@31.35252,- ... 6656?hl=en
They don't look like strobe lights. Still interesting though as lights for the crew at crossings tend to be.

The DTI only existed in Ohio and Michigan. Some of there older equipment had their logo on them like that one on the miniature at the Monroe County Fairgrounds in Michigan.

One of those signals has (part) of a vandal guard for one of the lights!

IMO is short for "In my opinion" (IMHO is "In my honest opinion"). I don't mind people using internet shorthand sometimes, as some of the more common abbreviations are quite handy (IMO, IMHO, AFAIK, and IIRC for example), and even some commonly used phrases (lol, for example) originated as internet shorthand. As long as we don't start having people using 1337 5P34K ("Leet Speak") then we're good.

Yea, that looks like it's meant to be some kind of Yard Limit sign.
