Maybe after your mother is finished shopping, you can ask her to take you to a crossing.

It can be really tough to get pictures and videos without having a driver's licence and having to rely on other people to take you places (like crossings), I know the feeling (I only manage to get 2 crossings before I got my driver's licence). But once you get your driver's licence, then you don't have to worry about those restrictions and you go wherever you like to take photos of crossings.

I also wonder, can you bring a tripod on holiday with you? (I still don't have one, i really need to ask my parents)

Life things can be quite tough to manage, but it's a whole lot more important to take care of. Waiting another month until the next update isn't a problem, Unless Tommy does his update on August 12th, the next update will be August 25th, and that's no problem what so ever.

Take your time FBP, no need to rush the update.

Yes, you can probably get a tripod from Wal-Mart.
