When James Cook sailed to the Hawaiian Islands in 1778 the British named them the Sandwich Islands. If the name stuck I wonder what Hawaiians and their language would be called.

It is kind of interesting to think about how if the Sandwich Islands name stuck if those things that we eat with two pieces of bread and stuff in the middle would still be called Sandwiches.

Wow, Streetview actually managed to capture one of the bascule bridges in Toledo operating! That is a pretty unusual sight to see! I sometimes forget that we have bascule bridges here in Toledo!
