A crossing in New Albany, Indiana being upgraded.

Although i ain't sure, and we ain't sure why, but this Federal Signal cantilever seems to be staying.

A WRRS signal, which was repainted!
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.2958953 ... 312!8i6656

US&S installation.
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.296787, ... 328!8i1664
However, the gated signal received a Safetran signal in 2012.

The ungated signal is still here.
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.2967836 ... 312!8i6656

This CSX logo could do with a repaint.
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.2988918 ... 312!8i6656
Weird installation.

For some reason, there is a new relay case at this crossing.
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.3024628 ... 312!8i6656
I wonder what they were trying to succeed in doing here?
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.309576, ... 312!8i6656
Even weirder!
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.3097567 ... 312!8i6656
Huh???
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.3122932 ... 312!8i6656
WCH E-bell.
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.3376928 ... 312!8i6656
US&S Base for a former bell only crossing?
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.3516797 ... 312!8i6656
This road is named after Barack Obama.
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.3638213 ... 312!8i6656
UH OH!
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.3786609 ... 312!8i6656
Whoops.
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.5889446 ... 312!8i6656
Looks like somebody was killed here.

I made a post involving other setups like that in the town in 'Google Street View'. I also wonder what happened to the tracks sign on the crossbuck post.

That is pretty weird... I wonder if the city installed it.
I wonder if trains stop there frequently and that crossing has a history of people climbing over the couplers and under the train. Still kinda comical though. Also got some contrasting forces there!

Those have been showing up in the east lately.

Could be. It also could've been a former signal that had the upper portion of the mast removed.

There are lots of roads named after presidents here in the states. Cool crossing there too.
Try hitting it with a bat and see if candy comes out.

Actually, it's a GE E-bell:

That looks to actually be the remains of a Monon Fail-safe signal!

Looks like some US&S Model 95s there...

Wow. I think it's safe to assume that it's been a while sense that signal was operational. Probably at least 40 years.

Speaking of Monon Fail-safe signals, I found an image of a preserved one at a museum!

The Monon Museum also has a few, IIRC. Though one of them features newer signals that were modified to look like the older signals that the Monon used...

That could be it as that is at the Monon Connection Museum. Appears that they have a lot of classic signals in their collection!

Also managed to find another image of a preserved signal, not sure where this one is at.

I believe that's part of the Monon Museum as well. In fact, that's the signal I was talking about that had modified newer signals on it...
