*Buckeye crossbuck setups were common in Ohio when that first image was taken. There aren't many left now.

That's a Safetran S85, which I've posted about several times by now, even just a few posts upthread.
That is a rather nice crossing though, with the older Conrail equipment and two S85s.

That's more like a 1980s Conrail install, though it could be very, very early 1990s.

Not sure why, but NS slapped in a completely old signal (With the exception of the Safetram Type 3) which includes an old NS paper DOT tag!

Unused in-tact signal sitting in a rail junkyard + damaged signal at a crossing = Saved $$

Similar thing in Blissfield, Michigan with 8" signals except the previous signals were much older.

Looks like it's a wayside signal. Gotta make sure the system is up to date, don't want to have a disaster.
