These are also probably out of service.
Could be possible that the railroad didn't want to maintain gates on a crossing that doesn't see much (rail and road) traffic.

The rails are pretty rusty, though someone's keeping the the line clear of weeds!
It's a little hard to tell. Several parts of the line seem more silver than others, and plus most of the signals on the line are in better shape than those two in particular. And like David said, the weeds are being taken care of. My guess that it is just a very infrequently used line.
That's interesting to say the least, as usually infrequently-used lines see more overgrowth with maintained signals, not the other way around..

Yep. The Saemann Ave. Wigwags of Sheboygan are the only Wisconsin Wigwags still in service. Which of coarse Google Streetview managed to capture them active last year! :TUP2:
