Why would Siemens do that? Wouldn't it be the municipality and not the manufacturer who does that?

It's interesting that some of the driveways have nothing, then others have stop signs and then some the addition of private drive signs. Of course, if I owned one of those houses I would want cantilevers and quad gates. :Tongue1:

I stumbled across this by complete accident, this is only down the road from my house!

This junction i was looking at i came across something surprising, i found these tops on the traffic lights which are called Policeman hats because of their shape! This indicates that back in the day, there used to be Electro-Matic signals here!

Unfortunately, in 2009 the signals that had the policemans hat were removed, and replaced with 2nd generation Microsenses, :Cry1:

Heres another fun fact, Liverpool was the last area to have the last surviving pair of tin lantern signals, they were removed in 2001 and replaced with Microsenses, isn't that interesting?

A surprising number of those Plessey Tin Lantern signals have managed to make their way over here to the US in private collections.

Remains of a Plessy Mellor, The signals were replaced with a puffin crossing in July 2016. I'm positivo that the signal along with the control box has been removed. IIRC.

It seems the forums been dead today, I'm the only one that appears to have posted today. What is this, Only Person To Forum Today is Nathan Day?
