The ones in the middle are "guard-rails", to prevent a derailed train from going too far to one side.

Likely some old Griswold ones, which had the original Type B lights replaced.

street view of the whole crossing with the possible raco cantilever.

https://www.google.com/maps/@40.1715298 ... 312!8i6656
Both cantilevers are US&S. RACO cantilevers look noticeably different.

did raco produce cantilevers like that because i could have sworn there is a crossing in the centrral valley that has them!

i will check!
Griswold did, and RACO (and even Safetran a bit as well, it appears, IIRC) used the same splice boxes on the masts of their cantilevers as Griswold, for the most part. However, RACO didn't produce any cantilevers of that style, as by the time RACO came around, everyone had already moved onto other styles of cantilever.
Cantelievers have either been repainted or replaced. Along with the sidewalks and a new road surface.

Looks like they're still there.

Railroad probably moved the bell for some reason. I've seen it happen at another crossing before.

Looks like the mast is different in the 2017 view (or at least the lights are). Possible the mast was knocked over somehow, and they just moved the bell over.

This one in Newton, AL (note that neither mast was replaced):

Sadly, the G&W has since had the Transport Products Corp. 8 inch lights replaced with WCH 12x24 inch lights with General Signals LEDs.
