Dunno if anyone's beat me to spotting this one, but here goes:
A friend of mine from PSRM had the music video for "Jesse Hold On" by B*witched displayed their channel. Decided a little look-see wouldn't hurt...from the look of it, it was shot back when 2353 was still alive and well:

Then at 0:28 in--I think we have a new candidate for most useless crossing signal to date. It's a gateless setup equipped with 8x20 flashers that AREN'T EVEN LIT, and instead of a regulation "X"-style sign, there is just the "RAIL ROAD" part set horizontally behind the mast. They didn't even go through the trouble of using Type D, either! :LOL3:

Low budget production quite obviously. I agree, it's a pretty sorry looking signal... but I've seen worse than that.

Did you happen to notice the 8" light that's missing its background above the other two lights?

That, the second crossbuck sign mounted several feet above the pole, and the fact the setup has no discernable mechanism and the signs/flashers appear to be affixed to a telephone pole.

FAIL.

For those of you interested... that picture is a still from this 80's music video. The song is "Like A Rock" by Bob Seger. Some of you might better know the song as the one they played during Chevy Truck commercials in the 90's. (Man, I'm getting old)

The video is pretty much entirely featured around a railroad crossing and train. Too bad they couldn't have made it a bit more realistic.

Ha as a little boy that was one of my favorite songs, along with "Garth Brooks Thunder Rolls"
ahh the memories.
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Ben Franklin
People who need a foot up their Ass affect the lives of many. There is still no cure for someone who needs a foot up their Ass, except a foot up their Ass
I speak my mind, if you don't like that oh well. I'll have you fill out a hurt feelings report and submit that to my office.

This National Geographic tornado documentary from 2006 features a few clips of BNSF trains. What sounds like a teardrop bell plays on the soundtrack, even though the signals shown have GS e-bells.

Walker,Texas Ranger episode Cowboy has a UP train and a signal in it,the van Alex was in after she had been kidnapped went around the gates as soon as the train passed.I would like to know the location of the crossings in that scene.I know it had to have been the DFW area.
