Sadly, it's has since been replaced with a Safetran Type 3 e-bell. (This crossing is the one on the cover of this report).

For some reason, every single crossing along the Richmond line (expect for the Meatworks crossing) has an old Rail Crossing sign, a Hazard Triangle, or both!

I presume that the local council would be responsible for maintaining the advance warning signs, obviously they aren't in a hurry to replace the hazard triangles.

Can't remember if I've posted it before, but this abandoned crossing on Foreshore Rd, Port Kembla still has four hazard triangles, although they are more faded now compared to the 2009 images.

This old hazard triangle is at Mount Murray, the crossing was closed to traffic some time ago but the hazard triangle survived a while longer https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-34.551 ... 328!8i1664

The site of the former crossing. As you can see it now has locked gates and is only used by ARTC.

Pretty faded!
I wonder how the advance warning sign got its corners green.

Some that have survived at passive crossings, likely because they're distance from the actual crossing themselves.

Brewongle Lane, Brewongle, NSW.

Here's a Hazard Triangle hidden behind a tree at Creamery Road in Albion Park Rail, NSW.
https://www.google.com/maps/@-34.560654 ... 312!8i6656

Back in 2008, the triangle was more visible.

There's also one on the other side.

This has been posted in the past, but here's one at the former Gipps Street, Wollongong crossing (which has been closed since 1989!)

Strangely enough, this one for the former Berwick-Cranbourne Road crossing in Cranbourne East, VIC has survived even though the crossing and the signals were ripped out in early 2012 to make way for a road widening.
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.116 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.116 ... 312!8i6656

Here's the former crossing (I think this crossing was the best surviving crossing out of all the crossings on the line before they were removed).
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.116 ... 312!8i6656
https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.116 ... 312!8i6656

I think the reason why the triangle has survived is because there was no "RAIL CROSSING" sign under it and whoever was responsible for removing the signals had no idea what the triangle was for and thus they left it.
