A bit more to see there as well, including a GP40-2, a GP40-3 (which was likely the one that was based out of Oakworth Yard around that time) paired with a GP38-2, and what might be Q515 with an ET44AH leading an ES40DC. Also a YN2 GE (Dash-9?) sitting next to a six-axle EMD (SD50-2?):

There was a crossing there in 2007, but it is unusual to wonder why it was closed.

What's unusual? The crossing was probably closed due to a) increased train traffic b) quiet zone or c) too many accidents
