This crossing also has Westinghouse incandescent lights mounted in McK&H light brackets.

However, the cantilever signal has LED lights, with two traffic signals on it.

One of the General Signal E-Bells sort of looks crooked.

You also gotta love this shot of the crossing at around 8:30PM on a summer night.

For some reason, there were no LXRA 'Yellow Signs Of Death' at this location, even though the crossing is gonna get removed.

Nice finds with the hybrid bells! :TUP2:
None of your images work.
They work from my end.

It appears that it's due to a 403 Forbidden error. I'd recommend uploading the photos to someplace else, such as Flickr and posting them again. Since they are being hosted by Google, likely from your Google Drive, that's why they work on your end.
They/Them for me, please.

Found a somewhat interesting bell replacement in Maryborough, Victoria.

In 2008, this crossing had a WABCO bell!

But by 2010, it had been replaced with a hybrid bell!

I wonder what happened? I'm guessing that the WABCO bell died & they had a spare hybrid bell lying around and they used it as a quick replacement. However, the image was taken before V/line restored passenger services to Maryborough, so there's no doubt that it's been replaced by an E-Bell.

I've seen NS and CSX do that a few times here in my area. In CSX's case, it was because the signal maintainers wanted to keep the mechanical bell at a crossing.
They/Them for me, please.

I noticed that there's lots of mechanical bells (hybrids, teardrops, & WCH's) shown on crossings along the Melbourne-Adelaide main line (which has ran via Werribee, Geelong, Gheringhap, & Cressy since 1995 due to SG gauge conversion) in GSV. The only problem is that almost all of the images are from 2010 or earlier (not to mention, a few of these crossings are shared with V/line & Metro). Hopefully some of them are still there.

Here's a run down of what's to offer.... Also found a few on the Hopetoun line, which branches off at Murtoa. I've left a few off the list, as I already know that these have been replaced with E-Bells.

That crossing was completely trashed when V/line came through. As you suspected, it now has E-Bells and boom gates. Nice find with that WABCO! Despite the many times I've been in Maryborough over the years, I didn't realize that crossing had a WABCO (I can only remember seeing the Hybrid)! However, I didn't know much about the different types of bells and equipment back then.

It's also possible that that's the same WABCO bell I now own! I say this because the man who sold me the bell told me it came from Central Victoria. When I received the bell, it didn't produce any sound because the hammer had broken off from the mechanism (apparently this was a common fault with WABCO bells, hence why they're so rare). I have since added a new hammer and the bell rings, but it doesn't have a steady beat and often misses the gong. It seems very temperamental and difficult to maintain. This would explain why the bell at Maryborough was replaced.

Also, the hybrids at Thompson Rd, North Geelong have been replaced with E-Bells and those Teardrops at Stawell have also been replaced (as I saw a video that showed they now have E-Bells).

What are the chances?

Oh well, hopefully the other Teardrop bells are still there.

Well I don't know for sure if it's the same bell, but at least I know it came from somewhere around that area.

Found some more interesting crossing related things from Western Langford's site.

These two pictures show the inaugural suburban from Pakenham approcahing the station & level crosing at Hallam before being upgraded with gates. Also note how the destantion board is set to 'Williamstown'!

I've posted this before, but the crossing that used to be at McKinnon station had these weird mechanically operated boom gates at one point.

An old South Australian passive crossing with a wooden sign on post reading 'LOOK OUT FOR TRAIN'. The crossbuck font also looks slightly different here.

The Burke Road level crossing going under a reconstruction in 1987. This crossing was removed last year, and I passed by the site a few days ago.

An old picture from 1992 of the Kororoit Creek Road level crossing on the Altona loop line. Nothing too special...
