I'm not sure what you mean. The arm is just pointing downward from gravity.

I'm not sure what you mean. The arm is just pointing downward from gravity.
US&S wigwags were designed to go off to one side and hid behind a little covering when off.

It's likely a third set of tracks existed there, and while they did move the gate, it'd probably be easier to leave the cantilever in place instead of move that as well.
