This crossing used to have lights but they're long gone: https://www.google.com/maps/@34.8161305 ... 328!8i1664
This line has been abandoned a little bit after this. This line was built by the Cape Fear & Yadkin Valley Railroad, But it turned into Atlantic Coast Line's Bennettsville Branch. The southern portion of the line was removed in the late 70s and the line was abandoned by CSX in 1984. But the line was bought that year by the Advancement Corporation, and named the railroad that will run on the line The Red Springs & Northern Railroad. Freight operations continued sporadically until 1990. The line entered Dormancy in till 2004, Red Springs & Northern Foundation were given ownership of the line. Currently they run speeders for passenger excursions. But their goal is to revitalize the line and attract an operator to restore rail service to Red Springs.

Highlands and E Center in Sebring FL. No train, but the lights were on and they seemed to be working on a pedestrian gate.

Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
Redundant relay cases, junk from crossings, a gate mechanism, and a heckload of gates, what more could you bargain at a CSX signal maintainer yard?

Hard to tell, but these either are just E-Bells that have been removed and are awaiting scrap or re-use, or other things i just can't imagine.

it's not redundant if they aren't hooked up to anythingNathanFromEngland wrote:Redundant relay cases, junk from crossings, a gate mechanism, and a heckload of gates, what more could you bargain at a CSX signal maintainer yard?

Hard to tell the lights, but 3 of these lights on the western signal here are MI 12x20s, with the other being a Safetran 12x24 too.

The eastern signals lights are 3 MI 12x20s all incandescent, with the other one being a General Signals 12x20 Light with a General Signals MAX(?) LED too!
