Street view is very old in Georgia that was taken in November, 2007 .
All of that has since been converted to a trail.

I noticed the trail when I was looking on satellite. Probably should have mentioned something about it.

Edit: Too bad these signals are gone now, they seem like they were well preserved.

I think I found another abandoned line. If it is abandoned, it was probably done recently.
There is rolling stock to either side of this crossing.
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... 24,,0,6.56
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... 03,,0,3.36
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... 82,,0,2.26
This crossing would be interesting to see active. It is most likely the last used crossing on that line.
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... 3,,0,-3.29
Further north there are more signals and the tracks are in good condition; to the south however:
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... 5,,0,10.37
I don't think a train can get past that.
This section appears to be abandoned:
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... .21,,0,4.4
I don't think this depot or crossing gets any trains anymore:
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... .13,,0,4.2
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... 47,,0,9.32
It's official, this section of the line is abandoned. Anyone know what this line was?
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... 43,,0,0.82
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... 24,,0,5.76
Two crossbucks; one of which is really overgrown.
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... 78,,0,4.39
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... .3,,1,2.24
Very overgrown track:
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... 7,,0,16.08
I followed the line further south and found it is in use again.
They/Them for me, please.

Here is another abandoned line:
The only crossing with signals I have found so far:
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... ,3.38&z=18
This crossing is quite overgrown on one side of it:
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... ,3.75&z=18
https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ll=3 ... 15.72&z=18
They/Them for me, please.

Seems like Georgia has a lot of disused tracks left in place. They may or may not be legally abandoned.

In Wisconsin most lines are removed immediately upon abandonment. However the 12-mile line between Plymouth and Sheboygan Falls, which saw its last train during the early 1980s and was never removed (although the old rail and ties are unusable), is currently being rebuilt by the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad.

In the northern part of the state, a line from Barron to Cameron to Ladysmith was put up for abandonment by Wisconsin Central in 2001. CN acquired WC later that year, and kept operating local service on it until 2004. The track became quite overgrown in places over the next eight years and some crossing signals were removed and crossings paved over. However in spring 2012 CN began reconstruction of this line in anticipation of frac sand traffic. They should be nearly done by now.

Here is one down in Macon, GA.
https://maps.google.com/maps/myplaces?h ... 39,,0,8.13
Some crossbucks that are still standing. I bet the line was abandoned rather recently.
https://maps.google.com/maps/myplaces?h ... 25,,0,4.66
More crossbucks:
https://maps.google.com/maps/myplaces?h ... .9,,0,3.84
Just one crossbuck and rails here:
https://maps.google.com/maps/myplaces?h ... 54,,0,2.19
I lost the line a little bit later.

EDIT: Found another line:
https://maps.google.com/maps/myplaces?h ... 8,,0,11.51
I'm not sure if this is part of the same line, either way, it is a creative use for an abandoned rail bridge:
https://maps.google.com/maps/myplaces?h ... 6,,0,-7.68
They/Them for me, please.

The traditional "abandonment" process doesn't seem to apply to a lot of those industrial spurs. They can go unused, overgrown and rusty for decades before anybody even remembers that they're there. Many of them are owned, in whole or in part, by the customers they serve.

Hazel St. looks like they abandoned a five-track yard!

Here's 2 crossings I took on Choctaw Dr. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana that are out of service, I would of taken more pictures of these 2 crossings, but it was pouring down the rain and never got a chance to get more pictures done

Note, the top picture, it's missing a crossbuck on the eastbound direction (the direction I was traveling) and the line was abandoned
