i was actually talking about the road on the other side of the tracks, but now that you mention it, i could see some sidelights hanging off the cantilever for the lil driveway, although they should be able to see or feel a train nearby.

Found a highrailer on a remote section of P&W line that leads to Toledo, Oregon.

Check out this crossing near Montreal, Canada. It uses traffic signals that look like 3M signals...but they aren't.

those traffic signals were probably 3M back then but then got standard traffic light bulbs.

Notice it looks like 2 stop signs (or something to that effect) for the trains on either side of that crossing.

I bet someone has to get out an manually change those traffic lights to red.

if that being the case, then the line doesn't get used often. I mean the crossing soesn't have any real signals, just those 3M mock up lights. Probably a spur line.

Speaking of Google Maps...I hate the way they updated the maps with the weird looking tracks. They don't look like tracks anymore...just lines with black spots on them...yuck... :glare:

The Street View vehicle went through Danville, IL 2 times and in between those times, CSX upgraded a crossing there. The times alternate various times on the street. Also on the track just south of the CSX crossing, go west of the diamonds with the NS line and you'll find cool and very weird setups.

They can't be a 3M signal...it is missing the lamp housings on the rear of the signal. Even if they re-fit LEDs to these signals, the placement of the lamp itself does not change. The signals there are probably a Canada-unique brand signal.

Check out these odd cantilevers I found in Washington:

Almost look like Griswold's... but I'm not sure. Spin to your left to see the other one.
