Nice. I liked the fog effect on 6th Ave. in Hanford.

Yeah it looks mighty spooky!

Rest In Peace Guilford SD26 615!

The gate on that last crossing is only about 3/4 of the way up. Look at it from this perspective:

It's just waiting to get smacked by a big truck or something!
Edit: For some reason, StreetView is not pointing things in the right direction when you copy a link. You'll need to do a 180 spin to see what I am talking about.

I was by that crossing yesterday. The gate now goes all the way up. Looks like the Google car has made a few passes through Hanford because I noticed some clearer images showing up in town. With the spooky fog, I would be surprised if that was taken in the middle of the afternoon. That stuff sometimes never burns off.

What is the point of that gate going down towards the track? I guess to keep cars from turning right?[/quote]TRAINMANKIGHT wrote:ANOTHER TEARDROP IN CAL.cabman701 wrote:Locations Of ACTIVE US&S TEARDROPS
I HAVENT A CLUE
but i do know one thing the state of ca and this railraod need to have a talk about safety
and the signal men for this xing need to be fired
Yeah this is a damn shame. no flashers on nothing just one lone gate facing the wrong way in the middle of the grass. I guess the folks coming the opposite way have to guess when a train is coming!

I would have to assume the traffic lights are programed to go 4 way red when a train is coming. I'll have to watch the video again when I get home and see and see if that is true (I'm at work now and YouTube is blocked here).bigphilliestyle2000 wrote:What is the point of that gate going down towards the track?
