Ya, I'll have to go check it out the next time I go up to Bridgeport. It's also the last CSX crossing in the Tennessee Valley with 8 inch lights and this crossing gets 6 trains a day according to the FRA because of a TVA plant and another rail-served business down the tracks. Also, there's a crossing just down the branch that has two mechanical bells at it.ToledoRailfan wrote:Pretty interesting upgrade, I like how they kept the old crossbuck. I must also mention the beautiful location that this crossing is at!freebrickproductions wrote:Instead of removing the old crossbuck when CSX decided to replace it, they just mounted the new one right on top of it!

I'm thinking the dead end sign is why that crossbuck is still there. The other side doesn't have one. Still a bit odd though...ToledoRailfan wrote:Whoops, I did not notice that.ZachL wrote:Maybe because the street right there actually is a dead end?![]()

Blanchester, Ohio...GSV is nearly 3 years old as I write this, so I don't know if this still exists...Wonder why they left the old gate bases?

They were there in 2009 also... so I'm guessing they probably are still there today. Weird!busman_49 wrote:Blanchester, Ohio...GSV is nearly 3 years old as I write this, so I don't know if this still exists...Wonder why they left the old gate bases?

The current gates have been there for sometime as well. Just look at the rust on them.cabman701 wrote:They were there in 2009 also... so I'm guessing they probably are still there today.
