Why are the lights mounted like this?
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=34.76157 ... 78,,2,1.46

Active crossing with really tall mast signals:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=34.7648, ... 24,,2,-0.1

Another active crossing, although I'm not sure if it's due to a malfunction or just a maintainer out doing their job because the gates don't lower and the signals stay active if you move up and down the road:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=34.49948 ... .8,,0,0.64

Another active crossing:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=34.91027 ... 2,,0,-0.12

This crossing has four mechanical bells on two signals:
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=32.43688 ... 66,,0,0.06

These crossings have 12x20 inch GRS Lex-C lights at them. The line was abandoned when street view went though, but satellite view shows that it is active again and the signals appear to still be there. Also, does anyone know what brand of gate mech is at some of them?

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=32.40498 ... 1,,0,-0.99

Crossing with cats-eyed crossbucks net to a siren:

I haven't seen those signals activated in a while.

From what I've heard, that line gets rare usage by an excursion train.

They haven't ran any excursion trains since 2010 due to equipment being vandalized. They do occasionally move some locos so these signals do get activated every now and then. I am considering becoming a volunteer there. If I do, I'll try to get some signals activated.

Nice! Cat-eyes on both sides... wonder how old those signals are?

The next crossing down also has a cat-eye crossbuck on one side: https://www.google.com/maps/@41.499244, ... !2e0?hl=en
