Here's an odd WRRS cantilever, it looks like the arm was mounted upside down:

This crossing was upgraded from crossbucks to signals, but they left behind the crossbucks:

This is where I live now in St Pete, FL. I'm guessing sometime between 2012 and now this gate mast was knocked over:

Here is the replacement. Looks as thought they just used an already-put-together mast and just left off the crossbuck:

Haven't been able to catch this crossing in action (or any other on this line yet)... trains are very few and far between and I don't live close enough to hear them or know when they run. I did see an engine and a few cars parked just down from this crossing last week though.

...except I don't know how old the "old" crossbucks really are. The overpass way in the background was constructed prior to 2008, and I hadn't been over these tracks before that. I drove through after the overpass' completion and both sets of signs were there. Odd nevertheless.

There are some crossings that were not mentioned in that discussion though. I did not know about that discussion.

Here are some notable crossings in very rural parts of Michigan.

Here is a crossbuck only crossing without stop signs on the crossbuck posts in Michigan! This is not very common. Probably the reason it has not been updated with stop signs on the posts is because this crossing is in a very rural part of Michigan. I'm not sure who owns this line or how busy it is but it is near White Cloud which has two crossings on the site. This crossing is in a very small rural town called Free Soil.

Here is a crossing in a very rural town called Manistee. This crossing is on the same line as above. Although Manistee is a small rural town, it is not as small as Free Soil but both towns are I'd say maybe 150 or 200 (or maybe even more) miles from the nearest medium to small city. So this is very rural. I'm not good with knowing the types of cantilever signals these are but I thought they were both notable.

Here is another crossing in Manistee on the same line as above, this crossing is also on the same road as above, the line curves and runs parallel to the road for a bit then curves and crosses the road again. This crossing also has vintage cantilevers. There is also This amber signal next to the crossing. I have a somewhat basic knowledge of railroad signals other than crossing signals. I'm not sure if this signal is rare and unusual.

I actually did not notice that until you said that and I zoomed into the lights. They have been disappearing in the part of Michigan that I live by, the part of Michigan I live by is no where near as rural as those crossings in Manistee but is still rural in its own right. Sense Manistee is so rural, I think that it is very possible that those GRS Lex-C 12x20 inch lights have not yet been replaced.
