I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because I'd say no more than 10% of stop signs in Québec have English on them.

Hell, I'm even surprised that they don't even say arrêt on them!

That is due to Hudson being largely English-speaking at around 67 percent.

One of the stop signs that I posted in that post use to have a French language stop sign in its place.

One of the other stop signs there use to have a normal stop sign in its place.

There is also this bilingual stop sign, I didn't post it as it didn't look very unusual. I think in Quebec these tend to be found in English speaking communities with a sizable French speaking population (more than Hudson). In the French speaking part of New Brunswick they have bilingual stop signs like that (some Indian Reserves might be excluded from that) but with "stop" and " arrêt" swapped, in the other part of New Brunwsick (again, with the possible exclusion of some Indian Reserves), most of the stop signs are in English but I think they're gradually being replaced with bilingual stop signs that are like that one in Hudson, not 100% sure though.

That was my lesion about Canadian French and English stop signs! :LOL3:

Reminds me of these signals that I saw while on a School Field Trip to Stratford, Ontario.

That's what happens when you want to limit the visibility of the green indication, but don't want to have to install louvers or full PV signals. Mobile, AL used to do that, but I believe only one signals survives (though there might be a few others left in the city).
