Here's one on Waverly Rd. in Thibodaux, LA
This one has it's rail line removed, but the crossbucks are still standing

End of the line for the former Amador Central Railroad. This 2007 view shows weedy tracks east of the CA. Highway 88 crossing near Ione:

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Ione,+CA ... 46,,0,6.96

Click around a little bit on the arrows and you get an updated view from May 2012, showing that the cantilevers were still there, but the track ends at the crossing, with no rails extending from the pavement east of there.

There likely hasn't been a train in awhile with the end of the Shuttle program, but the track certainly looks well maintained!

I see the rest of that one lighthead appears to have rolled under the equipment cabinet!

These tracks were used for the rocket engine test towers out at NASA.
A track use to cross here... and there seems to be a gate left. Wish there was a street view to show what exactly this signal is/was.

Appears to be just a gate on a mast.

Did anybody notice on the StreetView pictures from Nasa in Florida that the little Streetview guy was wearing a space suit? Just thought that was kind of funny...

Um, yeah. I can see that.

I'm just curious if it was set up that way, or if it was a full signal that was scalped... If there was another on the other side of the crossing before the rails were ripped. Etc... etc... etc.

I'll see if I can go out there because my dad works at NASA, but apparently they don't let anyone out to those test stands anymore.
