A rather new signal and one of the lights is already missing a lot of paint on one of the backgrounds:

The earliest this signal is on Street View is from January of 2014 and it was like that then too:

I'm guessing it got whacked by a truck or something trying to turn onto the main road from the side street. Would explain why it is crooked also.

I wanna say that those tracks are out of service, because the pavement (or gravel, whatever that is) clearly goes over the tracks.

Out with the old, in with the new at 2nd Avenue in Birmingham:

Wish I had gotten down there earlier, but based on the date, I'd've had to have gotten down there back during spring break or earlier, which just wasn't gonna happen.
Some crossing maintenance in action:

That's because Google used the street view imagery from I-93 for US 3 for some reason.
That line probably gets very few trains, which is why they removed the lights from the signals.
I'd love to live in the house with that gateless set-up on the driveway though.

Harmon/Late MI lights with Safetran visors:
https://www.google.com/maps/@46.929381, ... 312!8i6656
(There's also a Safetran light in the mix.)
Crossing with extra sets of lights above the crossbucks:
https://www.google.com/maps/@46.934936, ... 328!8i1664
This is likely due to the small hills around the crossing, but still cool nonetheless.
