Note the oil refinery or similar structures around, the seemingly tight security around this crossing make getting more photos unlikely in the near future.

Too bad that is in such a heavily guarded area. Looking around there would be fun. Just add in a few extra signals, and it could be a triple crossing.

An odd setup. I wonder if the outer mast signals activate when the gated signals do.

I would assume they do...because if they have the tracks sign on the outer signals...they essentially "protect" all the tracks.

Fun crossing!
Thanks.
I would not worry about photographing.
You can take pictures from public streets.*
If they don't like it, they can build a wall.
What does that yellow sign read?
*In China, a lound-eyed Amelican could be stopped and questioned.
I took video with the camcorder flat against my chest hanging from the strap around my neck and recording with LCD screen closed.
I faced 90 degrees to the right of images I wanted to capture.

I believe that would be the standard notice about the possibility of the locomotives going through the crossing being unattended / remote controlled.

Really?
If so, wouldn't they require full gates and treat it as a "Quiet Zone" crossing?
Or can the horn be remotely sounded?
What does that sign read?

here is the sign its posted near many switching yards in the st louis area
here youll see the engineer on the ground
flagging the crossing and blowing the horn at the SAME TIME lol imo
a lot of people are opposed to these units and say there more dangerous since ive have little knowledge about Remote Control Locomotives so ill keep my mouth shut http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... id=1746607
on the up system all RCLs must have stripes and yellow lights on the top
