This little railway was a tourist railroad that ran with a Baldwin 2-6-2 #9 and a 2-truck Heisler #3, most of the time it was #9. This was based in North Lake, WI and ran trains to the western of Merton, WI. I rode this train 3 times as a kid and was a fun ride Unfortunately, due to many complaints and rising amount of houses in the North Lake and Merton area, the railway ended operations on October 28, 2001. Here is video of the last day of operation.

Plus, this is one of the crossings it went through (all were crossbuck crossings), think a train can get through here? Maybe on Ozzy's Crazy Train.

That's one I never did get to ride on.

GSV and Bing Bird's Eye view show most of the track intact, although heavily overgrown and the crossings are gone.

UP's ex-C&NW Adams Subdivision runs parallel a short distance to the north. The KMRR's trackage was ex-Milwaukee Road.

Does anybody know what happened to those two engines? Did they get mothballed?

on Co Rd, you can still see the RXR lines in the road, as well as the stop lines at the former crossing. Its sad to watch the video, then actually look at the pictures and see what it looks like now. So sad... :Awww: :Cry1:
