Not sure if this was mentioned in the prior forum... but does anybody remember the movie Weird Science? I happened to catch that a few weeks ago on one of the cable networks and completely forgot there was a railroad crossing towards the end of the movie. The signals appear to be Griswold gates.

How about the new commercial for the Kia Soul. Briefly it shows a crossing with a mechanical bell ringing. Here's the clip. Its about 9 seconds in.

In the 2007 film Transformers, about 1h 20m into the film, there is a scene at a railroad crossing.

This was mentioned on the old forum, and I believe AndyWS said he knew where it was, but he refused to tell anyone.

Also, check out this scene from the film:

That crossing in Transformers is one of the Henry Ford St. crossings that is in L.A. They are on the site, I believe.

Not sure if animation counts, but here's a clip from "Rocko's Modern Life" (episode title "Driving Mrs. Wolfe")

Features gated mast signals and what sounds like a mechanical WCH bell.

There was an Operation Lifesaver commercial with Wile E Coyote and Road Runner with a signal in it.
