If you can do it with traffic signals... why the heck not your crossbucks, 2-track signs and lightheads?

Doesn't look like there were too many options for putting up lights.

Those are some interesting signals. Good find! I like the span wire signal that is protecting the alley on the left.

Also, check out the crossing down on the other corner to the right. Look how these "mast" signals are mounted. And what is up with that one signal pointing towards the camera??

Yes. No idea why that one (o) is pointed across the street. No driveway or walkway.
Look how close thathe parking line is to the track! (In front of pickup on right.)

Interesting area withanging signals and buildings so close to the track.
No bells.

I really like this narrow little street. Couldn't get anything much larger than an SUV through that crossing from what it looks like. And be careful backing your car out of that garage or you could knock that signal down for sure!

Lights need to be re-aimed. (Just one Googlearth segment back, the signal is not visible.)
I like the 8-inch lights.
Wish they used the old black crossbuck signs with white letters which were used at trolley crossings in the 50s and 60s. They were very handsome.

Are these signals made by Union Switch and Signal, which was/is located in Pittsburgh?

I imagine those who live near the crossings are glad there are no bells.
The trolleys probably (hopefully) sound no kind of warnings unless necessary.
