We got the sun out here,but there is a high risk for severe weather today.Keep check on that radar.

Weird how the SPC goes from one extreme to the next. On Yesterday's "Day 2" (which is not Today's) forecast, they only had SLGT chances. Now they're back to HIGH again.

We had severe storms here today too. As a matter of fact, the local NWS changed their definition of a severe t-storm this year. It used to be 58 MPH winds or higher and 3/4" diameter hail. The wind criteria is the same, but they increased the hail criteria to 1". They did this so it would reduce the amount of warnings they put out and so that the storms actually produce hail. No hail in my immediate area, but I did recieve a text from someone in Albany saying they had some small hail. Dewpoints were in the 50s and temps in the low 70s. Not generally the environment for severe weather, but we had it today!
