Crossings with more bells than signals

Thought this would be interesting since there seems to be quite a bit of these. Post crossings with more bells than signals. Here's one I've seen in Watseka, IL.

Not to start an arguement, but I'd define what a signal is, because to me the crossing has 4 signals (2 cantilevers and 2 gates) but only 3 bells.

I would assume he is referring to having more than one bell on the same side of the street, since there is one on the cantilever and one on the gate mast.

I consider that to be 2 signals, just in different pieces. Today's update (July 30, 2010) shows a few upgrades just like that in Iowa.

The cantilever and the gate is one signal to me so that is what I mean. The crossing has 3 bells and 2 signals.
