Most pointless crossing ever?

The "road" ends in a stub about a foot ahead of the tracks.

Maybe that crossing was created for someone to have a picnic by the tracks?

I think it might possibly have gone through at one time and connected to that nearby highway...
Notice the curb back by the advance warning pavement markings?

I would have to agree... either the roads were connected at some point, or maybe there was a business there at one time and that crossing was a back entrance?
