Stumbled across this old pic. Has a bit of extra signage on it.

Nice find!

Either they caught both of the wig wags perfectly centered while in motion... or they were not operating for that train. I'm voting on the latter.

You know... I took the image URL, and cropped off the end numbers, and found it was part of a huge online database of images... while there, I found these crossings among that Wig-Wag.

All in of the following where in use on the Norfolk and Western railroad:

^ US&S Teardrop with old GRS lights?

^ Two lights on the wig-wag face.

^^All Images are from 1930s^^

When I get back from school, I'll try to dig another picture up. It had showed the Wig-wag with two lights side-by-side on the front side for each signal better.

Cheers,
Joshua

the DARST Tire & Battery Crossing is very strange.

Very interesting!
Thank you, Chuck and buff.

First photo signals failing to operate. Both in middle parked position.
Missed the neon tubes on the gates. That would be fun to see.

In the Darst photo, what is the road object?
Appears that someone may have been killed there.

No one was killed there. Those things appear to be some sort of road speed bump.

Cheers,
Joshua

I'm not SanteFebuff, but I'll post the link anyway.

How did I get this? Right click on the picture and then click properties. The link to the picture will be there. I just dropped the last part off the of link (which would be the picture number). See below example.
