If that lady is reading this, then I am about to tell her that if it told her to turn on Railroad Street, then that does not mean to turn on the tracks. Here is what it probably said to her(two possibilites) "Turn left/right on Railroad Street," or " turn left/right on the railroad tracks". That must be one old GPS if it thinks that there is a road ON the tracks.

I HATE GPS biggest pos ever made
I had one couldn't even find my remote house said it was in the middle of the gulf of mexico !!!!
and when I was in Tennessee it did tell me to turn right and drive down the tracks for a 1 mile then make a left thou things are crazy
People are going to be so screwed when we have solar flares and total loss of electronics

I haven't had good luck w/ GPSs either. Personally I'll stick to Google Maps and instructions...

I have used a Magellan (we call her Maggie) GPS for several long distance trips now. Of course, the thing is not perfect, but it hasn't led me to the wrong destination as of yet. All you have to do is use a little common sense.
If it tells you to turn left, and when you look to your left you see a lake, then you don't turn left!

I remember that episode of the office LOL
in mobile Al didn't happen to me but my parents said it told them to make a left on to a one way street.
then we downloaded another gps to my phone and the B H told me to pay attention to my speed I was going 60 in a 55
man oh man i can recall about a thousand gps screw ups the family's has had
