That's absurd. Hope an 18 wheeler doesn't head down that street. That "cantilever" looks a little low.

Those "cantilevers" look to me like a bracket meant for a streetlight. Dang... they must have been low on cash or something and made due with what they could

Agreed, because looking close at the coloring, the poles they're mounted on appear to be wood.
